individual, couple or small group life coaching / guidance. Additionally, I

capabilities. I take into account each person’s strengths and areas needing
improvement. I am also cautious of any injuries or constitutional weaknesses
with each session being catered to the specific person’s needs. I specialize
in working with couples and individuals who suffer mental health ailments
such as stress, depression, anxiety and behavioral disturbances such as
over / under eating. I am LGBT affirmative, culturally-competent and available

My Academic Life:
I grew up in Colorado at the foothills of the
Rocky Mountains. I have had a life-long passion for movement, music and
helping others. I began studying dance at the age of five and continued my
studies into my teen years when I began studying yoga. I attended the
University of Northern Colorado where, in 2004, I earned a Bachelors in
Psychology and a minor in Spanish -- I am fluent in both English and
Spanish. In 2010, I graduated from Argosy University in Orange, CA, with a
Masters in Clinical Psychology (MACL). I am currently a registered Marriage
and Family Therapy Intern (MFTI) working towards my MFT license. I have a
full-time job working as a therapist with Alma Family Services.
My Yoga Life:
I continued to study yoga and anatomy throughout
college taking teacher trainings in Ashtanga yoga and participating in
multiple Viniyoga series. I also have a broad understanding of Hatha yoga
and Vinayasa Flow yoga, however I am not a certified / licensed yoga
teacher. Beyond the physical practice of yoga, I study yoga philosophy and
principles independently. Some of my greatest teachers, influencers and role
models have been Cathy Insley of Greeley, CO, Rodney Yee, Gurumukh and T.K.V.
Desikachar. I plan to begin my study to become a certified Yoga Therapist in
2012 with the American Viniyoga Institute.
