DC’s who work for insurance companies can be disciplined and
lose their licenses if they lie.
Treating DC’s are at a distinct time disadvantage to combat so
called “experts”.
When a DC expert denies your reimbursement you must ask the
carrier to provide specific references to substantiate its
reasons for not paying your fees.
The “expert” misstated the Mercy Guidelines to deny claims.
The reference is outdated.

A-list actor riding motorcycle injured in
collision: Big Winner Daniel Jacobsen, DC
An oscar-nominated in his 40’s when he was struck
by defendant who crossed Sunset Blvd negligently.
The actor claimed disk protrusion at C5/C6 with moderate left
neuroforaminal stenosis. The actor refused steroidal injections
and sought care from Dr. Jacobsen DC. He also received care out
of country and had numerous flare-ups.
Defendant claimed actor had pre existing degenerative changes and
argues that 8 weeks of therapy would be sufficient.
Defense offered $40,000. The jury awarded the actor $332,188.00
with medical bills only $32,188.
