The Clean & Easy PI
Report: Part 11

EVERY PATIENT IS
DISABLED
This surprises a lot of doctors. However, in PI when any
patient needs to get D C care they must be “Disabled”
Injury implies some form of disability. The job for the DC is to
“measure“ the extent of disability.
There are only two forms of disability for PI.
Work and Non Work.
Work disability only requires the DC to state the number of days
the patient lost from work.
Non Work disability requires a time measurement of some common
ADL’s your patient cannot perform because of the accident.
(e-mail us for ADL Form)
For example: 1] the patient could not sew for 3 months following
the accident; 2] or could not garden for 4 weeks; 3] or could not
go to the gym for 60 days. Each of these altered ADL’s is worth
money that the jury can award.
Being specific with Disability losses always increases the value
of your patient’s case.

Come join the fun. We are hosting
monthly PI teleconferences answering your questions on PI.

We talk for only 30 minutes.
But we need your questions sent to me up front by email. Then we
will contact you to let you know how you can personally ask you
question during the teleconference.
For your telephone RSVP e-mail
johntawlian@shawnsteel.com. We have a limited capacity of
calls we can handle at once, so be sure to register quickly.
