End of the 1922 Act?

Hundreds of DC’s were arrested leading up the passage of the Act in 1922. The arrest of a female DC generated huge publicity and helped drive California voters to support the 1922 Initiative. The Chiropractic Act of 1922 set the world wide standard protecting chiropractors scope of practice. The Act specifically barred future legislators from interfering with Chiropractic rights.

Times have changed. Sen. Mark Ridley-Thomas has jammed legislation entitled SB 801 that would abolish the Act. SB 801 would turn over control of DC’s scope to ignorant legislators. And those special interests with far greater influence: insurance and medicine would have easy access to alter the Chiropractic Scope.

That’s why every Chiropractic leader and organization unanimously are petitioning Arnold Schwarzenegger to VETO the anti chiropractic bill.
