Director’s Message to OCCD Members
May 17, 2001
Our meeting Tuesday night was
worthwhile. Some information gleamed while there when speaker, Douglas Andersen DC, gave him suggestions
on Nutritional Therapy. Points that you may not be aware of were: milk without
hormones available at Trader Joe's; cheese is akin to cow fat; chondritons
available at Costco work well; & calcium from your bones is depleted by excess
protein, caffein, or sodium. Anytime I learn or am reminded of something worthwhile
at a meeting, I firmly believe attending was important and worth my time. Thank you
Dr Anderson.
Plus many thanks to our sponsors for adding to the meeting. They were:
-
Tanya of Whole Foods Market, very
conveniently located at bottom of parking structure (a city below a city!)
at 1870 Harbor Blvd in Costa Mesa, for the deliciously fresh sandwiches, fruits
& vegetables.
-
Paul Fisher, 800-789-7009, of Standard
Process Whole Food Nutrition providing nutrutional bars.
-
Lenore Waring CCH, 714-968-0369, of
Quantum Living providing the book, "What to Eat When You Don't Eat Animals".
-
Susan
Pellegrini, of The
Monday Morning Chiropractic Training Programs providing an Aroma Therapy
Positive Feelings Pack.
-
Dr Robert Gan & Joel Leighton,
714-799-7177, of International Molecular Diagnostics (laboratory) providing a CD Boom Box.
...A suggestion was made to change the
meeting to Wednesday nights, with an occasionally meeting at lunch time. Please
give me you thoughts on this suggestion.
Look forward to hearing from you.
