August 9, 2008 is a CCA Leadership Conference in
Sacramento, which I am planning to attend. |

An offer by an outsider to sell their HMO license so
CCA could offer such a health plan was declined. |

Neck 911 is a group that is advertising across the
state and will be soon be in CA asking that all doctors be required to
provide an Informed Consent to all patients. CCA approved such a
recommendation. |

Discussion about a confidentiality agreement to be
signed by all officers of CCA, including Directors, was lengthy and
concluded that is could not be enforced effectively. |

Financial report this year shows CCA in better
position than last but some increased income was needed for increased
legal costs. A raise in dues to $76 was approved. Also it would be a
cost saver if members would do EFT for dues which they will be
recommending. |

Motion for expenditure of up to $38,000 from the
legal fund was approved. |
 |
Interviews for CCA positions will be conducted in 2
locations (North and South CA) this year, so everyone interested in
helping run CCA, please apply. |

CA Board Of Chiropractic Examiners will probably
raise the licensing hours to 24 soon. |

There is a problem with Workers' Comp QMEs showing up
twice on the list when they have specialized training. CCA is looking
into this. |

Brad Sullivan DC will be chairing the CCA Nomination
Committee with Drs Doug Wilson, Vince P?, Dave Paris, Debora Sampley,
Floyd Minana, and Tia D on the committee with Drs Don Ringer, Dennis
Buckley, and Tim G as alternates. |

A "100 Year Lifestyle" certification program will be
initiated soon. |

A motion for failure to complete CCA Conflict of
Interest Disclosure or with a BCE action against CCA Officers, Directors
or Committee Members resulting in removal from office was passed. |

Drs A Charap, T Quibell and M White were approved as
Life members. |

CCA recommended that everyone go to the new website,
www.californiachiropractic.com to sign up for the patient
newsletter. |

The Patient Generator for $35/month is working well. |

CCA new office space go-ahead was approved. |

Next CCA Directors' meeting is October 17, 2008 in
Sacramento. |
