IN SERVICE TO CHIROPRACTIC

Some of you have just received OCCD ballets to be returned ASAP and others who have not joined yet are being provided with important information. As the Orange County Chiropractic District President, I wish to publicly offer official recognition of the commitment by my fellow officers and members of the Board of Directors. Please join me to express appreciation to these people and offered their time for the betterment of chiropractic.

Our First Vice President, Dr. Thomas Thomas of Huntington Beach in his first year as Meetings Chairman presented four great meetings: The new Weight Bearing Open Bay MRI as a chiropractic tool; The 2004 Olympic Team Chiropractor, Dr. Austin and his new technique of working with injuries; The Malpractice Avoidance tips from Dr. Lou Sportelli the Chairman of the Board of The largest Chiropractic Insurance Company; And of course Shawn Steele, Esq. and his timely information on Colossus and the new insurance company chiropractic denials We are looking forward to more fine and interesting meetings in his next term

Our Second Vice President, Dr. Bonnie Mc Andrews of Aliso Viejo did a great job as our Membership Chairman. It has been a difficult year as so many of the Orange County Chiropractors facing mounting financial difficulties. She has kept the home fires burning. The new closer connection to our Officers and general membership promises to be an effective deterrent to sagging enthusiasm and renewed commitment to the fight for chiropractic volunteerism.

Dr. George Burdi of Lake Forrest was awarded a Life Membership for achievement by CCA for 25 years of Service to the profession. As our Senior CCA Director he continues to serve us well as our liaison and voice in Sacramento. Dr Burdi is also on our Financial Planning and Elections Committees.

Dr. Jeff Nowicki of Anaheim has been on the Board for the past twenty years and knows and is involved in the Local and Statewide political scene. Jeff has been our Key Political analyst and action hero par excellente.

Dr. Bea Heller of Huntington Beach is our Immediate Past President, a five Term President and long time Board member. She deserves special recognition for being the brains behind our Award winning website WWW.OCCHIRO.ORG, and a tireless behind the scene organizer. She has certainly helped me with the proper protocol and day to day running of the Presidency.

Dr. Greg Bates of Tustin is our Treasurer. I give thanks to him for getting our Board on budget and organizing our financial Data along with his input on all-financial matters and fine wine.

Dr. Carol Soloway of Costa Mesa departs as our OCCD Secretary and deserves special thanks for recording of the minutes and the use of her beautiful home as our meeting place, which was above and beyond the call of duty to chiropractic. Thank you.

The Board Of Local Directors: Dr. Douglas Gahn of Huntington Beach; Dr. Greg Siebert of San Clemente; Dr. Sylvia Caldwell of Mobile One Chiropractic; and Dr. Steven Eggleston of Huntington Beach all gave their time on Tuesday nights and at the computer. This is greatly appreciated by me and I’m sure by all concerned chiropractors through out Orange County.

Once again I believe all have made self-less sacrifice of time and money for the betterment of all Chiropractors in the Great State of California. Thanks again

Sincerely

Paul S. Gregory, D.C.
President
Orange County Chiropractic District Of CCA
