When your
body is functioning properly, you feel better and are healthier.
|
By removing subluxations you allow the vertebrae
and muscles, nerves and
blood vessels surrounding these to function properly.
This means you will usually have less pain and less muscle
tension. When a nerve is
irritated or "pinched" it sends pain signals to your brain and
signals to your muscles to tighten or spasm.
You may not be able to move in well co-coordinated manner. You may have a functional short leg throwing off your gait.
Each time you step down you may put too much pressure on one side
of your body even if you do not have a noticeable limp.
This increases to muscle tension and muscle imbalance in your
whole body. |
When your
body is not aligned properly you may have pain referred to your muscles
and your internal organs. Sometimes your internal organs can refer to your muscles
(i.e. heart attack causing pain in your left arm and shoulder).
Sometimes what feels like a gall bladder pain may be referred
pain from a pinched nerve in the thoracic spine, radiating along a rib.
Sometimes what feels like kidney pain may really be a back
problem. A Chiropractor is
trained to know the difference. Chiropractors
are primary care doctors and may be able to evaluate your situation and
order the appropriate test or make a referral to the appropriate medical
specialist.
